The undefeated, flamboyant, charismatic TMT Boss and former undisputed Champion of the World – Floyd Mayweather will fight UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor in a much discussed and long awaited boxing match on 26th August 2017 in Las Vegas, as confirmed by Mayweather himself on Wednesday 14th June. With an intriguing news on both boxers allowed to use 8 Ounce Gloves and appointed referee Robert Byrd to officiate this event of our time on 26th August 2017.

Mayweather vs Mcgregor (Aug 26th)

The Terms of the deal were not available, but it will either be at the MGM Grand Garden or T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The Nevada Athletic Commission on Wednesday approved the request from Mayweather Promotions to put on a boxing card on August 26th at the MGM Grand. Though the politics in Boxing venue could change to T-Mobile.

8 Ounce Gloves Approved

Mayweather is 49-0 and considered one of the greatest boxers of all-time, and certainly a defensive genius. He retired in 2015 after defeating Manny Pacquiao in a record-setting PPV blockbuster, followed by a unanimous decision win over Andre Berto. He has captured world championships from 130 lbs all the way up to 154 lbs, but became a bonafide A-side superstar as a welterweight (147 lbs).

Like Mayweather, McGregor (21-3) is also undefeated as a professional boxer, sporting a record of 0-0. In MMA, he has quickly become one of the biggest stars in combat sports history, and is coming off an emphatic TKO win over Eddie Alvarez to capture the UFC lightweight title. He is the only fighter in history to simultaneously hold two UFC championship belts, but currently he’s just the lightweight champ. His lethal striking has captivated the MMA world, with 18 of his 21 wins coming by KO or TKO.
Mayweather vs. McGregor is expected to be shown on Showtime PPV, with an all-boxing undercard populated by Mayweather Promotions fighters. Former WBC super middleweight champion Badou Jack (21-1-2, 12 KOs) and current WBO junior lightweight champion Gervonta Davis (18-0, 17 KOs) are both strong candidates to be on this event.
It is unknown at what weight this fight will take place at, but I’m sure we’ll find out in due time. McGregor wanted the big money bout against boxing’s richest ever fighter, and he’s got it. It’s the biggest boxing PPV draw of all-time against the biggest UFC PPV draw of all-time, but the fight itself will be contested in the boxing ring.

This is an August filled with speculation, anticipation and boxing meets MMA extravaganza, brought to you by Mayweather Promotions and showing on SkySports & Showtime Boxing.

Africa already knows that AY is Nigeria’s Adam Sandler; with his highly successful comedies (30 Days In Atlanta and A Trip To Jamaica) breaking Nigerian box office records but still being incredibly cheesy and critically-panned at the same time.

10 Days In Sun City – Poster

And just like Adam Sandler, AY Makun doesn’t care. He’s making millions of naira and will continue to bless us with his slapstick comedies.  Case in point, AY’s latest project, 10 Days In Sun City, which we hope isn’t going to be as awful as Adam Sandler’s Blended, also shot in Sun City, South Africa.

Mercy Johnson & AY Comedian on set in action

As the Guinness World record movie producer and actor comedian AY is set to take the 3rd instalment hilarious ‘Akpos’ franchise to a whole new level with his highly anticipated ‘10 DAYS IN SUN CITY’ that will be hitting the cinemas across Nigeria from June 23, 2017.

The very romantic, action packed comedy movie which is coming after two of his very successful box office outings of ‘30 DAYS IN ATLANTA’ and ‘A TRIP TO JAMAICA’ will be showcasing Akpos in an entirely new hilarious light. The star-studded comedy movie features A-list movie cast from Nigeria such as AY, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Adesua Etomi, Mercy Johnson, Falz The Bahd Guy, 2Baba, Gbenro Ajibade, Juliet Ibrahim, Uti Nwachukwu, Fathia Balogun, Freeze, Annie Idibia to name a few. The movie also features Miguel Nunez Jr from Hollywood coupled with a talented and hilarious South Africa cast that includes Thenjiiwe Moseley, Amanda Du Pont, Celeste Ntuli and lots more.

AY breaks A LOT of bottles in this movie (10 Days In Sun City)
Well, from the trailer it looks like 10 Days In Sun City will definitely be better than Blended because it’s actually (surprisingly) funny! Not funny because it has particularly great comedic lines, but funny in a ‘What the F is happening’ sort of way.  For example, the trailer goes from a regular rom-com to a high-stake action-comedy in a matter of seconds! And these action scenes, while impressive and dramatic are definitely the most hilarious thing about the movie – watching AY softly break bottles in slow motion will seriously make you laugh out loud!

Every Man’s Nightmare after spending on a Lady

Bloggers note: Mercy Johnson’s line in the trailer is the funniest thing we’ve heard all day: “abeg no spit for my eye, your spit na eyedrop?”

AY Comedian – Guaranteed to Entertain YOU

Comedy lovers and fans/supporters should come out and not just support this film but also get entertained and most importantly get your money’s worth.
